Soft tropical watercolor meets bold island-inspired linework in Aloha, creating a purse that is feminine, colorful, and just a little unexpected.

The front features a vibrant reproduction of my original hibiscus artwork, with a bold red bloom emerging from loose washes of tropical greens and watery blues. But one of my favorite details appears as the artwork wraps around the purse: strong black tribal-inspired lines along the sides create a striking contrast with the softness of the watercolor flower.

That contrast is what gives this piece so much personality. The hibiscus feels fluid and organic, while the darker graphic elements add strength and structure — making the purse feel distinctly island-inspired without becoming predictable.

This design became one of those wonderful surprises in my gallery. Once people saw the finished purse in person, it quickly became a favorite and sold out, which confirmed what I loved about it from the beginning: the artwork takes on a whole new character when it becomes something you can wear.
