Blooming — Fine Art Greeting Cards

A radiant expression of beauty and new beginnings, where a delicate tropical blossom opens into the fullness of life.

Blooming celebrates the graceful beauty of a pink plumeria flower unfolding in all its tropical splendor. Soft petals in shades of blush, lavender, and rose glow against a rich background of deep blues, emerald greens, and vibrant turquoise, creating a beautiful contrast between delicate floral elegance and dramatic tropical color.

I've always loved watching plumeria blossoms open. There is something wonderfully inspiring about the way their petals gently unfold, revealing their beauty to the world. Each blossom feels like a little celebration of life — delicate yet resilient, fleeting yet unforgettable.

In this painting, I wanted to capture that beautiful moment of opening up, allowing the flower to become the heart of the composition. The sweeping petals and luminous colors create a feeling of softness, movement, and quiet confidence, while the rich tropical background adds depth and mystery.

Created in transparent watercolor, the original Blooming painting measures 18" × 23½". I loved exploring the subtle transitions of pink, violet, and lavender within the petals, allowing the transparent layers of color to bring light and dimension to the flower.

To me, Blooming is also a gentle reminder of our own journeys. Like flowers, we each have our seasons of growth, transformation, and beautiful new beginnings. Sometimes the most wonderful thing we can do is simply give ourselves the freedom to bloom.

Whether you're celebrating a birthday, Mother's Day, a new chapter in someone's life, or sending a little encouragement and aloha, these greeting cards are miniature pieces of art meant to be enjoyed, shared, and treasured.

Art to share. Beautiful beginnings to inspire.
