Alpine Bliss — Fine Art Greeting Cards

A peaceful mountain sanctuary, where spring awakens the wilderness and adventure waits beyond the trail.

Alpine Bliss captures the breathtaking beauty of a secluded alpine lake nestled beneath the towering granite peaks of the Sierra Nevada. Snow still blankets the rugged mountains while evergreen forests surround the peaceful water, reflecting the brilliant blue sky and the quiet majesty of the wilderness.

Inspired by the Desolation Wilderness near Lake Tahoe, this painting brings together the beauty of several mountain lakes and landscapes I explored while growing up in the Sierra. Rather than depicting one exact location, I created my own composition to capture the feeling of these extraordinary places — their towering peaks, pristine waters, and beautiful sense of solitude.

Some of my favorite memories are of spring adventures deep in the Tahoe backcountry. As the snow began to melt and the mountains slowly awakened, we would hike into the wilderness to explore, fish in alpine lakes, and find those wonderful lingering pockets of snow where we could snowboard, build jumps, and play in the mountains.

There was something magical about that time of year. The snow was still there for winter adventures, while the warming sunshine and emerging landscape promised the arrival of summer. It felt like having the best of both seasons at once.

Created in transparent watercolor, Alpine Bliss celebrates the contrast between rugged, snow-covered granite peaks and the delicate reflections of a tranquil mountain lake. I loved capturing the textures of the Sierra landscape, from the rocky mountain faces to the lush green forest and the beautiful movement of light across the water.

To me, this painting is a celebration of freedom, adventure, and those unforgettable places in nature that become part of who we are.

Whether you're sharing a love of Lake Tahoe, celebrating an outdoor adventurer, or sending someone a little mountain serenity, these greeting cards are miniature pieces of art meant to be enjoyed, shared, and treasured.

Art to share. Mountain memories to inspire.
