Coy Koi — Fine Art Greeting Cards

Playful and graceful, with a quiet depth beneath the surface.

Coy Koi captures the beauty and movement of koi fish gliding through cool, rippling water beneath floating lily pads. There is something endlessly fascinating about koi — they feel both peaceful and full of personality, playful in one moment and almost wise or watchful in the next.

I’ve always loved the way koi seem to carry a sense of calm and curiosity at the same time. In this painting, I wanted to capture that balance — the lively dance of bright fish moving through water, and the stillness that surrounds them. The flowing currents, reflections, and layered colors create a sense of life and motion, while the pond itself holds a quiet, meditative beauty.

Created in transparent watercolor, Coy Koi features rich, luminous color, including vibrant orange tones and deep blue water that give the painting both warmth and depth. I wanted this piece to feel joyful and serene at once — a little playful, a little mysterious, and full of natural beauty.

Whether you're sending a thoughtful note, celebrating a birthday, sharing a thank-you, or reaching out with a little beauty and aloha, these greeting cards are miniature pieces of art meant to be enjoyed, shared, and treasured.

Art to share. Aloha to send.
