Nani Honu Sea Turtle Crossbody Purse | Kauaʻi Christie's Art

Nani Honu | Crossbody Purse

A little ocean magic, wherever life takes you.

Graceful, colorful, and full of life, Nani Honu celebrates the beauty and gentle spirit of the Hawaiian sea turtle, gliding through a world of swirling ocean currents and vibrant tropical color.

This crossbody purse features a beautiful reproduction of my original Nani Honu watercolor painting, one of the most beloved pieces in my Silver Lining Series. Rich oranges, warm reds, and golden hues flow through the turtle's intricate shell, creating a striking contrast against the cool turquoise and blue waters surrounding her.

In Hawaiian, Nani Honu means Beautiful Turtle, and I wanted this piece to capture more than her physical beauty. There is something wonderfully peaceful about watching a honu move through the ocean — unhurried, effortless, and perfectly at home in the water.

The original painting combines transparent watercolor with my signature metallic silver linework, adding another dimension of movement and light as the silver catches and reflects its surroundings. While the purse reproduces these beautiful details in print rather than metallic shimmer, the flowing patterns and vibrant colors preserve the spirit of the original artwork.

Living on Kauaʻi, I'm continually inspired by the ocean and the extraordinary creatures that call it home. Nani Honu is my celebration of that connection — the rhythm of the water, the beauty of marine life, and the peaceful freedom found beneath the waves.

On this purse, Nani Honu becomes a little piece of island beauty you can carry wherever you wander. A reminder to move through life with grace, follow your own currents, and always make room for a little colorful magic.

Art to carry. Aloha to share.
