Sweet Welcome — Fine Art Greeting Cards

A cheerful symbol of warmth, hospitality, and island aloha.

Sweet Welcome celebrates the pineapple — a timeless symbol of gracious welcome, friendship, and hospitality. With its golden hues, lush green crown, and tropical setting, this painting captures the joyful spirit of offering beauty, warmth, and aloha to all who enter.

I’ve always loved the symbolism of the pineapple. It feels both inviting and celebratory — a sweet reminder of kindness, generosity, and the simple joy of making others feel welcome. In Hawaiʻi, where hospitality and aloha are deeply woven into everyday life, the pineapple feels like a perfect emblem of that spirit.

The original painting is part of my Silver Lining Series, where transparent watercolor is paired with metallic silver linework. The rich tropical colors and decorative details bring a sense of playfulness and glow to the piece, while the silver elements add another layer of movement and light.

My background as a tattoo artist has also influenced this series, especially my love of strong composition, flowing linework, and decorative design. In Sweet Welcome, that influence comes through in the stylized treatment of the pineapple and surrounding forms, blending bold visual structure with the softness and luminosity of watercolor.

Whether you're sending a thank-you note, a housewarming greeting, a birthday card, or simply a little aloha, these greeting cards are miniature pieces of art meant to be enjoyed, shared, and treasured.

Art to share. Aloha to send.
